Taylor Swift's full name can be described as Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th, 1989 West Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular performer and song writer in the early part of 2001 with her tales of heartache. Swift was a fan of music from an early age. Swift quickly rose up in the ranks, beginning by playing roles in the theater for children before singing in front of a large crowd. When she was 11 years old, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. in the next year, she took up guitar and began writing songs. Taking her inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of being a tween and feeling alienated. At the age of 13, Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania in order to relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time to wooing labels from the country within the vicinity of Nashville.
